Rebuilding Ukraine Together, LLC is an attempt to help solicit support for the rebuilding of Ukraine following the devastating effects of the invasion on February 24, 2022 by Vladimir Putin’s Russian military forces . I, like so many others throughout the world, have felt a great deal of sympathy for and admiration of the Ukrainian people fighting courageously for their freedoms against Putin’s unprovoked aggression. Although most of us cannot give service militarily, many of us can play a role in helping Ukraine to achieve ultimate victory. Should Ukraine secure a military victory but be left desolate and uninhabitable, a shell of its former self, that victory would be in name only.
My name is Chris Boeman and I work as an attorney for my local children’s services agency in Ohio. Although I am not Ukrainian myself, I have had a great deal of interest in and sympathy for the Ukrainian people for the last ten plus years after learning about and studying the Holomodor, Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin’s manufactured death by famine of millions of Ukrainians during the winter of 1932-1933. I feel strongly that if the United States and other western countries had addressed the plight of the Ukrainian people at that time much of the catastrophic events from 1933 to 1945 could have been greatly mitigated, if not avoided completely. If we collectively fail to address the plight of the Ukrainian people today only more suffering, for not only Ukrainians but throughout the world, will be our fate. Conversely, if we can help Ukraine not only win the war but win the peace the benefits for all freedom loving peoples will be immeasurable.
